I've Been Admitted...Now What?

You've received a letter telling you that you've been admitted to one of our degree programs and are now officially a Bloch School student.

Congratulations!

Now what?

You probably have lots of questions and need to get lots of things done before you start classes. This page is a guide to get you up and running in no time.

Get Advised

As a new student, you are required to be advised before you'll be able to register for classes. All of the Bloch School's vital advising information--where, when, who--can be found here.

Get Your Books

The UMKC Bookstore carries all the books for all your classes.

Other options include places like Amazon.com or Barnes & Noble.

Get Your UMKC Email

Your UMKC Email is the way both the Bloch School and UMKC will communicate with you about such things as registration times, internships, etc. It's vital that you check this email several times per week, and you can check it anywhere you have internet access.

Get Your Fees Paid

You know you have to pay your tuition and fees to stay in class. The UMKC Cashier's Web site is full of useful information such as when, how, and where to pay.

Get a Parking Pass

Street parking is free, but not always available. You can learn more about the alternatives at UMKC Parking Operations' Web site.

Get a Student ID

UMKC's Campus Information Center is where you will get this. Please note that you must have made at least one payment toward your fees owed before an ID card can be issued.

Get Where You Need To Go

This page will give you directions to campus as well as a downloadable campus map.

Got it? Good!
