 Freshman Admission

First time college students planning to pursue a business or accounting major are eligible for direct admission to the Bloch School as a pre-business or pre-accounting student. Students must meet general admissions requirements for the University to be admissible to the Bloch School as a freshman.

Freshman and sophomore Bloch School students will be required to maintain a 2.0 University of Missouri (UM) grade point average (GPA). Students will be required to have a UM and cumulative GPA of 2.50 at the end of their sophomore year to enter the junior/senior portion of the program. Once in the junior/senior program, students must maintain 2.25 UM, cumulative and in-major GPAs. (Your cumulative GPA includes all attempts at all coursework; however, up to 15 credit hours of repeated courses can be excluded.)

It's almost impossible to walk around that building or the lounge area and not run into someone from one of your classes. The classes are smaller, which makes the school close-knit and you really know your classmates. It’s a friendly and social environment with great camaraderie.
